On Christmas Day, it has been traditional to celebrate a Dawn Mass at 8 a.m. at Gillingham. However, this depends on the availability of a priest. Please check the parish website to find out the plans for this Christmas.

As usual, our service is a short one, and we sing one unaccompanied carol (usually Adeste Fideles). To see the Order of Mass for Christmas morning, please look at our Gillingham Christmas Dawn Service sheet.
Please note: in accordance with tradition, the Christmas Day collection is a personal gift from the congregation to the priest.
Our crib is displayed every Christmas until the octave of the Epiphany. The hand-painted figures are Italian plaster, and date from 1890. They were skilfully restored in 1990 by Martin Sida-Page. The wooden stable and yard were completely restored in 2018 by Alex Valori, with the scrolling Gloria in excelsis Deo! legend re-enamelled by Charlotte Valori.
